THE MILLION POUND NOTE

This musical is based on a short story by Mark Twain.
Collective financial madness runs through this light - hearted romantic comedy with its late - Victorian manners, fixations and fantasies.
In London, 1903, a very unusual bet was made between two wealthy, but eccentric, brothers. One brother believed that the mere existence
of a ONE MILLION POUND NOTE would enable the person who had it to obtain whatever he wanted without even spending it, whilst the other contended that it would actually have to be spent for it to be of any use. To exercise the bet required, first of all, the purchase of a million pound bank note from the Bank of England, and then the finding of a complete stranger who was homeless, penniless and friendless, but perfectly honest and intelligent. WHAT A CHALLENGE !!
The musical is ready for production but the score has not yet been recorded. Roberto Tripinni wrote the Book ( Libretto ). Also for the musicals, The Secret of Sainte - Marguerite and Hemingway ( co - wrote the Lyrics ).
